What “switched off” means for you

Everything Alura already knows is served as usual. Until fetching is on:
  • opening a product or shop Alura has never seen answers 503 fetch_unavailable, free;
  • bulk lookups and keyword lookups list never-seen items in unfetched with the code fetch_unavailable;
  • data older than 14 days comes back with refresh: null instead of starting a refresh.
Freshness and new items explains how it works once it is on.

Reporting a problem

If calls fail and the error says retryable: true, retry with backoff first; Handling errors shows how. If it keeps failing, contact Alura support from the chat in platform.alura.io with:
  • the request_id from the response body or its Request-Id header;
  • the time of the call, in UTC;
  • the endpoint or MCP tool you called.
Never send your API key to support. Nobody at Alura will ask for it.
