# Alura API

> Etsy market research for your scripts and your AI assistant.

The Alura API gives you the research data behind Alura: other sellers' Etsy products and shops, keyword demand and competition, Alura's sales estimates, and your workspace's saved research. Every Alura plan includes it, Free too.

There are two ways in:

* **REST** at `https://api.alura.io/v1`, with an API key. Use it from scripts, spreadsheets and your own servers.
* **MCP** at `https://mcp.alura.io/mcp`, for AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. You sign in with your Alura account and approve access once.

Both use the same data, the same prices and the same monthly pool of API credits.

## What the data is

Products and shops are other sellers' public Etsy listings and shops, as Alura last saw them. Every product, shop and keyword has an `as_of`: the moment its data was last updated from Etsy. Estimated sales and revenue start with `est_`, and each has a [methodology page](/methodology).

When Alura doesn't know a value, the API returns `null`. It never fills a gap with `0`, so a `0` you see is a real zero.

Alura doesn't track shops that asked to be left out, and their products never appear.
