# unprocessable

> Unprocessable. HTTP 422, not retryable.

**HTTP 422: Unprocessable.** Retrying the same request gives the same error. Errors never cost API credits.

The request is well formed but cannot be applied, for example adding an item Alura does not have to a saved list. The `detail` names the item.

**What to do:** Fix the request as the detail says.

The response is `application/problem+json` (RFC 9457) and has a `Request-Id` header with the same `request_id`. See [all errors](/api-reference/errors).
