# insufficient_scope

> Insufficient scope. HTTP 403, not retryable.

**HTTP 403: Insufficient scope.** Retrying the same request gives the same error. Errors never cost API credits.

The key or connection lacks a scope the operation needs. The body lists them in `required_scopes`.

**What to do:** Use a key or grant that carries the scope this operation needs.
