# Changelog

> What changed in the Alura API and MCP server

`/v1` only grows. New endpoints, fields, enum values and MCP tools arrive without notice, so accept fields and values you don't know. Anything removed is announced here first, then answers `410 Gone` with `Deprecation`, `Sunset` and `Link` headers.

  ## Alura API v1.0

  The first version of the Alura API and MCP server: Alura's Etsy market research for your scripts and AI assistants.

  ### Two ways in

  * **REST API** at `https://api.alura.io/v1`, with [API keys](/api-reference/authentication) that owners and admins create in **Settings** > **API**. Each key belongs to one workspace.
  * **MCP server** at `https://mcp.alura.io/mcp` for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients. You [sign in with your Alura account](/connect-ai), choose what the assistant may do, and switch between your workspaces from the chat.

  ### Research

  * **Products:** search with filters and sorts, detail, bulk lookups of up to 100 IDs, similar products, reviews, tags and monthly sales history.
  * **Shops:** search, detail with top products and the shop's about section, their products, reviews and monthly sales history.
  * **Keywords:** lookups of up to 100 keywords, detail, related keywords, top products and shops, and monthly search history.
  * **Trending:** rising and new products and shops, and trending keywords in English. See [Trending](/features/trending).
  * **Lookup** by Etsy link or shop name.
  * **Categories and languages** for filters.

  ### Saved research

  Read and change the workspace's saved folders, lists and items, the same ones the Alura app shows. See [Saved research](/features/saved-research).

  ### Account

  * **Usage:** API credits used this month, by day, and every charge from the last 90 days, with the price of every operation.
  * **Workspaces:** list them, and switch the current one for an assistant connection.

  ### Plans and API credits

  Every plan can use the API, Free included, with a monthly pool of [API credits](/api-reference/api-credits) separate from the app. Searches cost 10 per page, retrievals 1, and errors, empty results and pending items are free. Sales and search history need Growth or above.

  ### Methodology

  Estimates follow [Sales estimates](/methodology/sales-estimates), [Sales trend](/methodology/sales-trend) and [Keyword market](/methodology/keyword-market), all version 2026-10. Known gaps at launch: `est_avg_monthly_sales` on keywords is always `null`, and trending keywords are English only.
